Battle Cancer Announces the Opening of The Move Forward Gym

Recently Battle Cancer announced the opening of a brand new functional fitness facility in Exeter Devon, the Move Forward Gym. Due to open in October this year, the gym will be founded and fully funded by the team and community of Battle Cancer. But this is not just like any other gym. Yes you will be able to train in the facility and sign up to one of their standard class/open gym membership options. But where the facility stands out is that it will be offering a leading Move Forward Program which is designed to help those in post-cancer recovery and train them up to become fitness coaches themselves. In addition, they will also be offering FREE memberships to NHS patient referrals. This is the next, very real, way in which Battle Cancer will look to help change as many lives as possible for the better through access to fitness.

The Move Forward Gym will offer a leading Move Forward Program for those in post-cancer recovery as well as free memberships to NHS patient referrals.

Built in partnership with the UK’s leading equipment provider, BLK BOX, the Move Forward Gym will offer a brand new premium functional fitness training facility at an affordable price.

The training will draw upon the disciplines of functional fitness and the Move Forward Gym will offer a range of fitness classes including speciality skills such as Gymnastics, Weightlifting and Conditioning, along with its own unique brand of classes that are accessible to all.

The gym will be proudly committed to their members’ physical and mental strength regardless of ability or background. The gym’s Move Forward classes will offer members fun team workouts using body weight and light weight equipment for a high-intensity but inclusive workout.

Founder, Scott Britton said:

“Move Forward Gym has been designed to be premium, accessible and affordable, with every small detail and decision being based on our members and how to support people through fitness and community. Our collective goal is to use fitness as a tool for mental and physical recovery for all.”
