THE CROSSFIT OPEN 23.2 - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Workout

 23.2

23.2 is a two-part workout with part A being a 15 min AMRAP of burpee pull-ups and 50ft shuttle runs, straight into part B which is a 5 mins to build to a 1-rep max thruster.

 TOP TIPS AND TRICKS

1. Do not squat in the BURPEE. Start the way down by hinging and on the way up make sure you keep your hips high. In terms of pace make sure you can breathe throughout the burpees - don't hold your breath.

2. For PULL UPS, the jump is really important to save your arms. But, if you find your legs are more tired than your arms, then utilise the kipping option to save your legs.

3. Next up the SHUTTLE RUNS. Consider turning before you get to the line and make sure you are facing the same direction every time you turn off so you are pushing off of a different leg every time.

4. The THRUSTER. Consider using the cluster and make sure you load up the legs properly and drive up in a straight line. Don't let your core cave or your elbows lower.
