Burpee Over Dumbbell
In this WIT Coaching 101 tutorial, Coach Gus takes you through how to do the Burpee Over Dumbbell movement. Another common movement in Crossfit, the burpee over dumbbell movement is essential to learn for any keen athlete.
Coach Gus' Performance Tips:
- Make sure your feet are in line with the dumbbell after you pop them towards your hands (this allows you to jump over the dumbbell as opposed to behind it)
- Keep close to the dumbbell to limit the distance you have to jump when moving over it
Mistakes to look out for:
- Placing your hands in line with the dumbbell, which will position your feet too far back when you pop them towards your hands
- Jumping behind the dumbbell (after making mistake number one...), which is a "no rep"
